Policies
At Solace & Spirit, creating a safe, respectful, and trustworthy space is important to me. The following policies help establish clear expectations and protect the well-being and privacy of everyone who participates in a session.
Solace & Spirit provides holistic, spiritual, and supportive services intended to encourage reflection, personal growth, relaxation, and emotional and spiritual well-being.
Active Listening and Guidance are not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental-health or medical services. I do not diagnose mental or physical health conditions, prescribe medication, or provide clinical treatment. My role is to listen, support, reflect, and, when requested, offer perspectives within a spiritual and holistic framework. You remain responsible for your own decisions, beliefs, and choices.
Holistic practices such as Reiki, Sound Healing, Hypnosis and other complementary modalities are offered as wellness practices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. You are always encouraged to seek appropriate medical or mental-health care when needed. You may also choose to incorporate holistic practices alongside professional care if appropriate for you.
I understand that life happens and plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Whenever circumstances allow, I ask for at least 24 hours notice.
Appointments cancelled with adequate notice may be rescheduled without penalty. If you miss an appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the session may be considered forfeited.
However, I understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur, and each situation will be considered with compassion and common sense. If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment.
At present, Solace & Spirit operates on a free-will offering, donation-based model. There is currently no fixed fee for sessions. After receiving a service, clients may contribute an amount that feels appropriate and comfortable for them. There is no expectation that a client should give beyond their means. A free-will offering is intended to make these services accessible while allowing those who wish to support the continuation of Solace & Spirit to do so.
Payment or donation arrangements will be discussed before or after the session, depending on the service. As the practice develops, this payment model may be reviewed or adjusted. Any changes will be communicated clearly in advance.
Email-based services are asynchronous rather than real-time. Clients can generally expect a thoughtful response within 24–72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, unless a different timeframe has been agreed upon in advance.
Email correspondence is not continuously monitored. Sending an email does not guarantee an immediate response. For this reason, email services should not be used when you require urgent assistance, immediate emotional support, or crisis intervention.
Please allow sufficient time for a considered response rather than sending repeated messages when a response has not yet arrived. If circumstances change significantly while you are waiting, please seek appropriate support elsewhere.
Solace & Spirit is not an emergency or crisis service. Sessions and email correspondence are not continuously monitored, and I am not equipped to provide emergency intervention, crisis management, suicide prevention services, or psychiatric care.
If you are experiencing an immediate danger to yourself or someone else, or believe you may be experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis but are not in immediate danger, please contact an appropriate crisis line, mental-health professional, physician, or other qualified local support service. Please do not wait for a response from Solace & Spirit in an emergency.
You never need to share more than you are comfortable sharing during a session. You are welcome to pause, change direction, decline a suggestion, or end a session at any time. My intention is not to tell you what you should believe or how you should live, but to offer a respectful space in which you can listen more deeply to yourself.
By choosing to work with Solace & Spirit, you acknowledge the nature and limitations of the services described above.
